I’m planning on opening up my commission list soon, with my friend and collaborator Vrykon taking on the coloring of my line art. He adds more depth to my line art than I could possibly do myself, and his style of coloring makes for one unique piece of work.

I took a peek at that pic on DA though and your friend is very good too. But he’s no dagger

As I’ve said before, I think it’s unnecessary to compare our styles. Jeremy is one of the very best at what he does and he’s no slacker. He puts mountains of effort into trying for “perfection” and has as long as I’ve known him. I can try to parallel what he does but I can’t replace him. For the record, I also prefer his style to my own and think it perfectly matches his lines. He is being a very big help to me in giving me this shot though and I’d really appreciate if anyone who is deterred from commissioning him because you’re getting my coloring instead of his would give me some useful critique. And if you absolutely won’t commission him without his colors please be fair to him and give him the work. I can take this. Just tell him upfront that you want his colors. I’ll only work on what he sends me to work on.
