Of course i won't expect everyone to do that kind of measuring first time around, so in this image you'll see that I've drawn the basic elements of the shape of the face.
- With the oval shape as a guide and the vertical line indicating where the half of the face is turned and the small line where the jaw meets the ear, draw a horizontal line to indicate the position of the eyes.
- Draw an egg-shaped oval that tapers to the chin area. Just imagine a 3d egg and how the shape would look when you turn in 3/4 of the way.
- The ear is placed just half above the horizontal line on the other edge of the jawline. The jawline also when extended downward will meet the egg shaped oval to create the corner of the jaw.
- Add in the neck which is basically a cylinder that's a bit imploded.

Now that the overall shape of the face is in place I start putting in the inside elements of the face.
- I place the eyes midway into the horizontal line. Now I know how hard it is for some artists to draw the face in this angle, especially the eyes. I have my own problems with it myself and its escapes me once in awhile in a drawing. Just remember that the eye in the background (here being her left eye) becomes narrower as the head turns, and so is the space between at the nose. Again, it takes getting used to seeing the proper spacing, but with practice and observation, you'll eventually get used to it.
- Just above the eyes about 3/4 the height of the eye, I draw in eyebrows. A woman's eyebrow is shaped and arched in such as way as it follows the upper shape of the eye itself. You can check the proper height of the eyeborw by lining the arched tip of the eyebrow to the upper tip of the ear.
- The nose is pretty basic, an inverted L-shaped line where its length is measured halfway down from the intersection of the horizontal and vertical lines to the tip of the chin. The small inverted triangle I drew at the bottom of the nose is for the bottom detail of the nostrils.
- The middle of the mouth is spaced from the tip of the nose about the height of the eye, upper and lower lips are added to complete it.

All that's left now is to detail in the elements.
Place the iris of the eyes, add the detail on the nostrils, refine the shape of the lips and define the shape of the face more.
As you can see, I've also added a small round shape at the chin area to emphasize more on the shape of the chin.
