How to Draw // the female figure proportion
\\ basics

HUMANS HAVE BASIC SHAPES

When you think about it, a human is basically just shapes put together to make a whole. How a human is shaped depends on how you interpret the different parts of the body, so an extensive knowledge and understanding on anatomy is a 'must' for any beginner to have earlier on.

Look at the image on the right. Imagine a robot and how its built. It has cylinder shapes for the arms and legs, round, elliptical shapes for shoulders and joints like knees and wrists.

For the breasts, remember the head height from chin to the of the chest? That's basically where the middle of the breasts would rest.

Always remember to draw with free-flowing curve lines, especially if you're drawing a woman. There are no straight lines on a human form. We're made of soft muscle, tissue outside, and that should be obvious on your drawings.

At this stage, its pretty much clear to you to see if there are stuff you need to adjust with regards to your pose and proportions. It is important that you make the changes here now before you commit your drawing to final lines.
